“Strategy without tactics is the slowest route to victory. Tactics without strategy is the noise before defeat.” – Sun Tzu Art of War.
It is the noise before the defeat. It basically means you can use Facebook as much as you want to market your products, but without a clear strategy and plan, sooner or later you will lose the battle.
Look around. You see everybody marketing or selling on Facebook. Many of them do not have a plan. A year later, they will be still where they are.
Time is the essence. Every year, you should have progress. Every year, you should have scaled up and grow your business. Not just keep on doing without understanding why you are doing it.
Every soccer coach will look into strategy and tactics before they play a match. They equip themselves with knowledge so that they can train their players to win the game. There are plenty of attributes to look at before the match for the coach to implement his best strategy and tactics.
Now compare it to your business. With a competitive environment, it is just like playing football without organization, strategy and tactic against other formidable team. Would you expect to win?
